ChordScale Explorer Widget

The ChordScale Explorer widget allows you to browse compatible scales for each chord type.

When you hover over a scale, additional buttons will appear:

• : Plays the selected scale.
• : Displays the scale in all 12 keys, with fingerings for keyboard instruments.
• : Opens a Harmony Explorer widget, allowing you to explore various chords and interval patterns built from this scale.

At the bottom of the widget, you can filter scales by tags such as pentatonic, altered, exotic. Tags are always inclusive (e.g., pentatonic or altered).

Note

Unlike regular widgets which retain their front/back ordering during use, this one will be sent to the front whenever you click on it, acting more like a regular window.

Settings

No specific settings for this widgets besides setting colors and borders.

Shortcuts

Common shortcuts (shared across all widgets)

• Ctrl + C: Clones the widget, creating a new instance with the same settings.
• Ctrl + Left Click: Opens the contextual menu for front/back ordering, background transparency, and widget linking options.
